Death of a CF Industries Employee

If you are a dependent of a CF Industries employee who has passed away, there are steps and resources you may wish to consider. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available with resources to help you cope with your loss. Please note, if you are a surviving covered spouse or dependent, you will keep your current EAP benefits through your loved one’s date of death up to 12 months afterwards.

Things to Consider:

• Once CF Human Resources is notified of an employee’s death, HR will provide the beneficiary further instructions for Life Insurance and benefits information.
• Participation in the following benefits ends on the date of the employee’s death. If you are a surviving spouse or dependent and would like more information on the closure of the following benefits, please contact Human Resources for carrier information on:
  • Health Spending Accounts
  • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage
  • Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage
